CV Listings
Most jobs are filled by employers running their own CV searches. CVs are listed in order of those most recently updated, so its a good idea to update regularly.
(You don?t have to alter any details in your CV, just login, go to Update CV, then click Update at the foot of the CV.)
Emails
You will receive regular e-mails informing you of appropriate job postings, and a weekly Here?s Looking at You Kid? email letting you know which companies have viewed your CV. Please ensure your email address is correctly entered as it is our main means of contacting you.
Jobs Board
Vacancies posted here are often not advertised elsewhere. Only subscribing freelancers can apply for these. To view current vacancies: login and click on jobs. Clicking on the subject brings up the specific vacancy details. To apply for a position you must be logged in. Click the link below the job specification.
Applications are sent by e-mail direct to the employer. We recommend that you include a covering letter. All applications contain a direct link to your CV.
(It is worth noting that while the jobs board is very popular and proving to be a great success, most positions are filled by employers using the search facility to find people.)
Some formatting may be lost when cutting and pasting from a Word version of your CV, so doublecheck the appearance of your CVs.
To jazz up the appearance of your CV simply add some very simple coding. This will enable you to use bold, underlining and italics.
Here's a simple guide:
< b > Engineer< /b > would give you Engineer in bold
< b > < u > Manager < /u > < /b > would give you Manager in bold and underlined
< i > Supervisor would give you Supervisor in italics.
You can combine one or more of these. Its quite straightforward, just remember that the coding comes immediately before the text you want altered, and then immediately afterward (the forward slash is vital here).
To upload a Word version of your CV click on Upload Word on the menu bar - N.B. Word CVs are best saved as Rich Text Format beforehand.
Diary Availability
You can enter one or multiple periods of availability (click on Availability on the menu). These are displayed toward the top of your CV.
If you prefer, you can leave your availability blank and your CV will display Available at the top
